The factory will take width and height clearance deductions for blinds ordered as inside mount (normally 1/2" or more depending on the type of blind / shade ordered). Please do not take your own deductions. Blinds ordered as outside mount will be made at the ordered size in height and at or slightly wider than the ordered width in the case of some roll up products. Products ordered as outside mount should be ordered with an overlap above, below, and to the sides of the window to allow space for bracketing / hardware and to assure privacy as no additional size is added by the factory. Inside Outside (since each frame is apx. 1 1/2 inches wide on each side- add at least 3 inches to the total width and height of shutter to allow frame to mount completely on wall above- below- and to the sides of the window opening). Louver Size Our shutters are available in many louver sizes. It's common practice to use smaller louvers for smaller windows and softer views, and larger louvers for large windows and bold views. We do however; recommend keeping louver sizes consistent throughout your home or office. 2 1/2 inch 3 1/2 inch 4 1/2 inch Panel Fold Panel Fold is the description of how the panels are hinged and how they fold back. Yes No Frame Style Frames around your shutters help in insuring a square fit in an un-square window. Additionally, frames add a light block to keep unwanted light from entering around the panels. L Frames are highly recommended for all outside mount shutters. L Frames improve installation on inside mount shutter applications where there is no clearance for a frame flange that would fit onto the face of the wall such as windows with trim surrounding the window. Z Frames are used when you are mounting an inside mount shutter and you want a decorative flange that fits onto the face of the wall. Z Frames can only be used with windows without trim surrounding the window. Windows which featuring a projected window sill but without trim surrounding the window are best fitted with the Four sided Z Frame Sill Plate option.
